Professional Development

Interns attend weekly Coffee Connections together which allow them to explore new departments and learn about themselves too! Each connection is led by a different guest speaker throughout the summer!

Lunch & Stretch Breaks

Each intern is provided a 1-hour lunch break to stretch, explore Portland, grab food with fellow interns, and refresh during their workday.

MCC Membership

Interns at MEMIC are given membership to a multitude of networking opportunities across the state through our partnership with Maine Career Catalyst. Interns can join as many, or as few, outings as they wish!

Dynamic Workstation

Each intern at MEMIC has their own office space which is outfitted with a sit-stand desk to allow for dynamic workflow.

When are the internships posted?

Internships are posted by December!
Is this a paid internship?

Yes! At your school's discretion, you can also receive credit for your time at MEMIC.
Where is this internship based?

This summer internship is based out of the MEMIC Headquarter Office in Portland, ME. Interns are expected to be working in-office for the duration of their internship!
When does the program start and end?

Our program typically begins the first week of June, and ends mid-August. Specific dates will be communicated once finalized for the upcoming year!
What are the hours?

Our full-time interns work 37.5 hours per week. The standard schedule is 8:00am-4:30pm, with an hour lunch break!
What is the application process?

Apply online and someone from our HR team will review your application.
What will my first day look like?

Your first day at MEMIC is focused on orientation and welcoming you to our company! You will attend Intern orientation where you get to know the other interns, learn about MEMIC & our policies, and enjoy lunch with fellow interns, managers, and Human Resources! After lunch, each intern begins training in their department under the direction of their manager!
